Abstract

The goal of this research was to create a high electro-catalytic electrode material for supercapacitor devices. In this work, WS2 incorporated NiFe nanocubes were designed as an efficient electrode material for Supercapacitor application using the Kirkendall effect under probe sonication techniques. In Supercapacitors, WS2 incorporated NiFe nanocubes electrode demonstrated a specific capacitance performance of 671 F/g and a capacitance retention of 90% over 5000 cycles at a current density of 1 A/g. The assembled WS2 incorporated NiFe//AC asymmetric supercapacitor device achieved an energy density of 55 Wh/kg and a power density of 1012 W/kg at 1 A/g current density. The constructed WS2 incorporated NiFe //AC device showed capacitance retention and coulombic efficiency of 83% and 98%, respectively, in stability tests after 6000 cycles. These impressive results indicate that the WS2 incorporated NiFe electrode is a promising material for Supercapacitors, which could lead to significant advancements in high-tech electronic devices.
