Investigation of CsPbBr3 single crystal for X-ray Detector

Abstract
Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites, which combine the advantages of superior optical and electronic properties and solution-processed manufacturing, have emerged as a new class of revolutionary optoelectronic materials with the potential for various practical applications. In the present work milli meter sized CsPbBr3 crystals are grown by slow evaporation method for x- ray detector applications. The structural and Morphological characterization has been carried out for the synthesized perovskite compound CsPbBr3. X-ray diffraction patterns confirms the phases perovskite crystal and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy confirms the synthesized CsPbBr3 without any impurity. The IR and UV–Vis transmittance and Photoluminescence (PL) spectra showed the crystal have good basic optical performance. Morphological characterization carried out by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope confirms the polycrystalline nature of the synthesized material. From the above investigations it confirms that the perovskite compound synthesized by simple slow evaporation method is suitable for X-ray detector applications
