Abstract

ABSTRACT

Hydrogen is considered an ideal fuel for the future but is not available as a primary source, and hence it must be separated and derived from other sources for usage. Zeolites are the alumino-silicate members - "molecular sieves“. The Honeycomb structure is used for the exchange of metal ions. It is used as a catalyst in several important reactions such as cracking, isomerization and hydrocarbon synthesis. The porous structure of Zeolite makes it a highly effective catalyst. Transition metals have promising electro & photocatalytic activities and durability, due to which these metals broadly, utilize in electro catalysis and photo catalysis in common solutions. Synthesis and production of H2 were carried out by Ammonia decomposition and Photocatalytic methods. Doping heteroatom with transition metals provides an efficient strategy for boosting catalytic efficiency. The characterization studies were taken and H2 formation rate is studied. Using the zeolite support in its as-synthesised sodium form was found to have great advantages in facilitating the activity and stability of the catalysts.
