Green Extraction and Potential Biopesticidal Applications of Neem in Sri-Lanka and Ghana: A Systemic Review
Abstract
Cash crops such as Coconut, and Cocoa which are grown by Sri-Lankan and Ghanaian farmers are major foods which are consumed almost daily in these developing countries and even in first world countries. Farming agricultural practises have evolved over time, as a result, the goal is not constrained to just crop production, rather there is an eminent focus in including green sustainable farming. Neem (Azadirachta indca) is one of the most useful chemicals in early medicine and in agriculture itself. Its use can be tracked way back in the early Indian Ayurvedic era, and, has been an important chemical even in present day. This review will discuss the effective green extraction methods of neem oil and it’s applications by Sri Lankan and Ghanian farmers.
