The teaching assistant's training workshop is a hands-on one-hour session designed to prepare undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students interested in pursuing teaching assistantships in the future or who are new in their role as teaching assistants. Participants will learn about designing lessons, fair grading practices,  and providing feedback. As the session's learning outcomes, participants will be able to design and deliver lab or tutorial lessons using the Bridge-Outcomes-Pre-Assessment-Participatory Learning-Post-Assessment Summary (BOPPS) model; learn the strategies to give adequate verbal and written feedback, and implement fair grading practices. At the end of the session, participants will receive a certificate to document their professional development efforts.
