Vedic Mathematics originated in India more than two thousand years ago in the immediate aftermath of the discovery of the number system. During the ancient times, this mathematics was formulated and presented in the form of Sutras in Rig Veda. This vedic mathematics simplifies the calculations in the context of fairly large numbers. Perhaps, the astrological and astronomical calculations may have been done during the ancient time using this Vedic Mathematics. I will be presenting some examples to show the superiority of Vedic Mathematics when it comes to numerical calculations.
