Target Audience:

Anyone interested in adopting technology in their teaching and learning will find this workshop useful to pick a few “tricks of the trade.”

Objectives:

The workshop will demonstrated different Apps that can be used effectively in teaching and learning.  Although, an iPad will be used to demonstrate the apps, similar apps are also availble for other platforms.  There are several apps that make it easier to create presentations and notes.  Apps for keeping students engaged will also be presented.  In addition, those doing research will also see some tools for literature search, citation, and review.

At the conclusion of this workshop the participants will be able to:

• Learn about the different technological tools available to adopt for their own teaching;
• Learn how to use those tools effectively in their teaching and research;
• Learn about tools that can be used both in class and the virtual environment to keep the students engaged.
