Abstract
The world is using up all the resources to meet the daily demands of electricity energy. Thus, the renewable energy solution can save the natural resources and solve the crisis of energy. Solar energy is rapidly gaining its popularity as an important source of renewable energy as the efficiency of solar panel increase and cost is significantly is reduced. We can get more efficiency from the solar panel when the sun rays are fall on the panel perpendicularly. So, solar tracking system gives more efficient rather than fixed solar panels. Our aim is to construct a dual axis solar tracker which can track the sun throughout the day to obtain the maximum efficiency with GSM/GPRS based data logger system. We have designed such data logger which measures current and voltage of the solar PV module, temperature, humidity, dust level and rain fall status at the panel site. The efficiency of the solar cells in a solar tracking system is higher than the fixed position solar cells.
